Omikuji and ema near Juso Eki (by Eric Flexyourhead)
Shitennō-ji (四天王寺) is the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan, est. 593 A.D. in the middle of modern Osaka. This stone gateway to Buddha’s heaven is 1000 years old (Kamakura era). They have a stone gutter from the original complex in a glass case farther in, which I think is the oldest thing I’ve ever seen. I guess turning 26 soon isn’t too bad, by comparison.
